This American TV series is the best one I've seen in a long time. The plot is rich and intense, perfectly spread across six episodes. On the surface, it tells the story of a child running away and going missing due to family conflicts. However, it delves deeper to address the situations and challenges faced by certain marginalized groups during that era, presenting profound and thought-provoking content. The performances, music, and cinematography of the entire series are top-notch, but the story itself moved me the most.

‘Eric’: A Boy's Disappearance Unveils Social Corruption and Human Fragility

"Eric (2024)," a six-episode suspense thriller, stars British heartthrob and acting powerhouse Benedict Cumberbatch. ‘Eric’: A Boy's Disappearance Unveils Social Corruption and Human Fragility

The main storyline follows a father who, having grown up in an unhappy family, goes on a journey to find his missing child and gradually heals his soul. The story also touches upon some social issues, and Benedict Cumberbatch's acting is truly impressive. It's definitely worth watching.

This show is a realistic-style allegorical drama that draws inspiration from the creator's experience as a nanny in New York when she was younger. The dual narrative adds layers to the story and exposes the fragility of the family system. The pacing may be a bit slow in the first three episodes, but it's not a major concern. However, the portrayal of toxic family relationships in the second episode was too difficult for me. I'm not sure if it's due to the script or acting.
